Company traditions

And yet, being a part of Uptime’s team means much more than just hard work from morning till evening. Everybody likes to rest and play sometimes and Uptime is no exception in that regard. Every summer and winter we are celebrating enterprise-wide company days in different locations of Estonia; there meet each other our teams from Tallinn and Tartu and in evening hours there’s an attractive opportunity to get to know these sides of your colleagues that you don’t get to see on a usual day in the office.

Besides the large events, every division has their own little vacation days where a smaller team can recover energy and generate new ideas amongst themselves. No less popular are our collective Shrovetide (Vastlapäev) celebrations complete with pea soup and Shrovetide buns and surprising the females of our collective with cake and flowers on 8th march. One of the more delightful traditions, due the youth of our team, is celebrating of fresh mommies and daddies.

Traditions are also taking shape on the field of sport. Keeping in mind the youthfulness of our team, we are supporting all types of athletic activities. Uptime has its own teams on the annual health marathon of Stamina. During winters we play basketball and summers football. Skiing and ice-skating are likewise no strangers to us. Uptime’s collective has also discovered the sport of orienteering, where is tested team’s spirit and strength. Last summer take place the first Upitme bicycle trip, which is becoming a fun summer tradition.
